Great restaurant to celebrate special occasions, business lunches and/or just a nicer meal. We got lunch and came a bit early and we were seated immediately. We were surprised how attenuative all of the staff were, especially our server who came by often to check on us. The menu has so many options, and compared to other higher end places, the prices are actually quite decent, not overpriced for what you're getting. The mood in here is more on the intimate side, love that there are so many booths, including 2-person booths. It's just not something you can find as easily these days. I appreciated the darker lighting, and there was a very diverse crowd. Saw some families even, but quite a lot of colleagues likely who work nearby, business associates and a few couples. They do have a dress code and a few simple rules to maintain the ambience so if you decide to show up without reviewing these, they are very clear on the Houston's website, so you take your own risk. I checked out few reviews to get an idea of other feedback and it primarily seemed that people who were disappointed or upset about something, were mostly those who did not read policies to set their expectations. The food itself was fantastic, we had the salmon and the trout, both cooked perfectly, not overcooked and cooked just enough to get the fish tender and juicy. Some may complain old-fashioned, others too many guidelines, but that's exactly what makes Houston's stand apart, you get an experience unlike most others in Irvine, and it's the something a lot of other restaurants can learn from.

What a great restaurant. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Service is friendly and welcoming. The food is fabulous! We tried the Smoked Artichoke, Ruby Trout, Baby Back Ribs and the chicken. All of the meals were excellent. The stand it's we're the ribs and the artichoke.... Wow!

Houston’s delivers consistent quality, service and ambience every time. There’s something about having your martini glass changed mid-drink for a freshly chilled one that makes you feel important Everything I’ve tried is delicious, and I look forward to trying more of the menu. Great for date night, girls’ night, or any celebration!

Not much to say besides it is simply one of the best spots for dining in Orange County. Family has been coming here for over 25 years and it has not once disappointed. I would generally include recommendations, but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and that includes drinks and desserts. Every item on the menu is delicious, and the quality of food is incredibly consistent. Service is also top notch, staff are all incredibly hospitable, and the ambience is warm and cozy. Prices are also very fair. Reservations are definitely necessary to avoid long waits.

My wife raved about this place and I can see why!! Amazing drinks and a wonderful menu! The french dip is huge. We shared it and I was still full. And the chilli! I could eat that every day!

Incredible. This place really doesn’t miss. We got the ding’s chicken sandwich, fries, kale salad, and thai tuna sushi roll, and everything was unbelievable. Also it came out so quickly and the service is great. I can’t recommend this place more highly

Overall fabulous experience. Love the dimly lit restaurant and decor, makes it feel intimate and cozy. Every dish was exceptional in taste, flavors and presentation. They have many sushi options and the unique stacked sushi was superb. One of the few places that serves a grilled artichoke. Servers were friendly and attentive.

I came here for the first time with my family for Father's Day and had a great experience. Our server, Ashley, was incredibly kind, attentive, and had such a welcoming smile - she really made the day feel special. Kudos to the chefs as well. You can tell they really know their craft. Everything tasted fantastic!
